You want my Meatballs?
Meatballs are made with ground meat, and are known as: "polpette," The main ingredients of a geniune Italian Meatball are basically beef, salt, garlic, parmigiano cheese, eggs and breadcrumbs. They are cooked by either frying or baking then traditionally placed in sauce and on top of spaghetti.
They are usually the size of golfballs, but in the Abruzzo Region, they are called polpettine, because they are the size of marbles.
This is one of the most popular Italian dishes in the states.
